This feels like a dream. But this is real, definitely real. Tonight is New Year's Eve. The atmosphere is drowning with excitement and the sky is full of smoke. Fireworks dance across the sky and explode into different swarms of colors, shapes and sizes. The crowd at Times Square is getting crazy because the one-minute countdown before midnight is already starting.

Sixty seconds. There you are. I have found you. After so many years of traveling and finding the right woman at different continents, I had finally laid my eyes on you. I've been to Paris, London and other cities, but no one had caught my eye.

Forty seconds. You are standing so close, oh, so close to me. I can even smell your flowery scent from where I am standing. Oh, dear God. Please help me gather the courage to talk to her. I feel myself turn brave. Now stop gazing and start talking.

Thirty seconds. I can't speak. My tongue is tied. You finally notice me staring. You look at me and smile. My whole body turns weak. Your enchanting smile is the most beautiful thing in the world. It feels like your eyes are whispering that we had met before. I smile back. Can't you feel the chemistry between us?

Twenty seconds. You say something that I cannot hear because of the noises that surround us. I realize that you are telling me your name. Rose. Perfect as you. Then you ask mine. I say Daniel. We shake our hands. I love the feel of your hand holding mine. Yours feel smooth and soft, like a flower petal. I feel an utter surprise because you never take your hand off mine.

Ten seconds. You draw close to me for no known reason. That is fine with me. Maybe this is a dream. If this is only a dream, at least let me kiss you.

Five. Four. We cannot deny it anymore. We are made for each other. I feel it, you feel it too. I lean in, you lean in. I cannot wait any longer. I crush your slim body against mine into a tight hug. Then our lips meet.

Three. Two. Sparks are flying. Your lips tastes as sweet as honey. Don't you realize how magical this is? How magical we are? We pull back and we gaze into each other's eyes.

One. People are screaming: Happy new year! It's a time for change. A time for happiness and forgiveness. And maybe a time for love, a time for us.
